Back and Forth, To and For

I actually feel dizzy! This week I have been to Nashville to get ready for the movers but will be back in Memphis this evening! We have to close on the house tomorrow! Hooray! but the movers are coming Friday morning which means I have to get up extra early to head back to Nashville to meet the movers and then back to Memphis that evening. When Shane and I decided that I would be able to take a couple months off from working I was thrilled! i am going to have so much time, all my errands and stuff will be completed and things will be organized and i can just play house! I am starting to think I was nuts! oh to be in an office from 9-5 then home for dinner and then sleep! those were the days....now it's up and out and about and home again for laundry and then more errands ....it goes on and on! and we don't even have a child(although we have a very rambunctious dog) how the moms do it i will never know....seriously..i could never have kids. i would leave them somewhere or something bad! oh well. for now it's just me and lexi...(i don't know if that is a good thing since i have started to have conversations with her with the idea that she actually knows what i am saying)...even with all the craziness though, I have never been so excited to move ever. This will be Shane and I's first house and Lexi will have a yard(no more potty walks!) and it is going to be so much fun putting it all together. You know you have aged when you are pumped about buying a new washer and dryer!! Next blog will be from the new digs!!

Oh Baby!

Today was a very special day! My sweet friend Lizzie and her husband Drew were in Memphis today checking out neighborhoods in the area. Drew is contemplating a career move to Memphis and I wish them both the best as they make new decisions in their life. The best part about the day though was getting to see Lizzie! (sorry Drew) She is such a special friend and is expecting a sweet baby girl in July. The last time I saw here was at Xmas when she announced her exciting news so today I actually saw her precious baby bump! She of course is the cutest pregnant woman you ever saw. Baby Anne Reeves is set to enter the world in July and I know she will be just as precious as her mommy. It was so great to see the two of them and share in their excitement for their new family. Already the move to Memphis has given me the opportunity to visit with the people I love most. Hurry up Anne Reeves, we can't wait to meet you!

Dog Days!

So I am feeling bad today so Lexi and I are chilling out in the hotel and taking it easy. While Shane is at work, I am still keeping up on home inspections, insurance, etc. but our sweet baby girl Lexi has been asleep for about 4 hours. She has picked a spot in the very center of the king size bed in the hotel, has her paws wrapped around a pillow and her head on the other pillow. How spoiled is she. Of course I think it is precious but my husband would be mad that I have let her sleep in the bed! oh well...she is just too cute!

Moving to Memphis

Right now I am sitting in a hotel room while Shane is at his new job as a store manager with Wells Fargo in Memphis. I am so proud of him because he has worked really hard to get this promotion. We found out on a Tuesday around 3 p.m. and by 11 a.m. on Wednesday we were in Memphis and Shane was working. I have spent my days here looking for a home for us to finally settle down in. We got lucky and were able to find a great house within our first week and we are so very excited to move in at the end of the month! I am thrilled to be relocating to Memphis so now I can be closer to my friends and family in Jackson and my mom in Oxford. Shane's sister, brother in law, and precious niece Gabi all live here in Memphis too! Needless to say we are very happy with our new live here in Memphis and will hopefully be settled by the end of the month. We'll keep everyone posted as things progress!
